Whilst talking to Taygan about her interests we got on to the subject of tattoos. Taygan has lots of tattoos and as I feel the album should reflect her in some way, I think "The Girl With The Red Balloon" by Banksy would be an ideal image for the cover as it is a very popular tattoo design and one Taygan liked herself. The image would show taygan letting go of the red balloon that has been edited in photoshop to resemble my initial heart sketch. I also like the texture of the wall in the background so if I was to proceed with this idea I would use a similar set or apply it using photoshop. Many of the album covers I analysed had a sepia tone so I would probably do the same. The composition would be relevant as the balloon signifies love, and letting it go- which is what the protagonist in our video has to do. As the image is iconic and well known it will catch potential shoppers attention and opens the song up to the world of street art as potential fans.
Through a separate project I have been looking at conceptual photography it is often very clever and thought-provokeing which makes it ideal for an album cover as it is more interesting.
